Switching OEM tire to Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval RFT'S
I decided to switch to the Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval RFT'S since I want to remain with run flat tire and the OEM Eagle F1 are way to noisy.
Does anyone has experienced on the new Firestone made specially for the C6?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

I went with the Wide Oval non-runflats. If the run flats as close you will be pleased with them. They are much more quiet, and smoother riding than the GY's. Try a search of this section. There are many threads that may help you decide.

We are running the Firestone WO RF's and are very pleased with them, they ride/wear well and grip good... So far no complaints with the tires at all...plus they are priced reasonable..
Good luck..
Good luck..

I'm running them on my 05, if they're noisy I can't hear them over the growl of the Borlas. I think they're very good tires.

I have an 08 with close to 80K and am on my third set of tires. First set was the GY RFs and got 33K out of them, but very noisy. Then got Michelin Rfs and got 43K but noisy again. Just replaced the Michelins with Bridgestone RFs because the Michelin rears were out of stock for three months and can't beleive how quite they are, only have a couple of K on them so don't know how they are going to wear.

I put the Firehawk rfts on my 2008 two years ago. they are great tires. They are quite and have a smooth, comfortable ride...much improved over the stock GY's that I replaced. You are making a good choice and should be happy with them.

I've had 'em on my '06 for 3 years; love them, great tires. Mine is street use only, not tracked.

C6 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
I just put them on my 07 and I've only taken one trip with them on and I think that they are way quieter than the Good Years.

The C6 I just bought has only 23000 miles on it, but the tires are 10 years old and very noisy. I want to replace them with the Firestone Firehawks. I've read good things about them here and other places. The only thing is in the tire description it says that they shouldn't be used in below 0 temps. I won't be driving the car in snow, but I do intend to use it in the winter if the roads are clean. Whats with the temperature thing? What could possibly happen? Will they crack and fall off???

running on my '08 with 30k on them now. Wearing good and less noise then OEM. however, these are warm weather tires and even a small temperature drop here in balmy SC Texas makes them very slippery. Need to get them up to temp before you get aggressive.

Just put them on last weekend - There is a difference from OEM and I'm liking them so far.
Tire Rack shipped to local Firestone for install - Not bad pricing for the whole ordeal.

Not pushing one brand of tires over another, but to address some comments.
In most cases, replacing old worn out tires of any brand with new tires of any brand, the new tires will be quieter.

Firestone RFTs are a great tire. Had my first set 23000 miles. On my second set and when these go, I'll get 'em again. Traction is excellent above 80 degrees. Below 50, traction is not good and below 40 the tires can't be trusted for my driving style.
