Hey guys and gals, thanks for all the feedback. You have responded
to all my questions. Will not fear the 07 vette, now need to pull
the trigger as it will cost me about $14,000

It is, but still have not made the decision. May wait until
winter when prices usually come down

My LS2 07 Vert is an Intake/Heads/Cam/Headers/Exhaust car and many other mods. I beat the snot out of the car every chance I get (when wife is not in the car). I track it 1/4 mile and road course. I paddle shift 90% off the time and often downshift/engine brake. On the other hand, Just last weekend the wife and I took a 400 mile round trip to Western NC and had a great time. Car drives like a dream with 46K miles. Had to replace my hood struts due to always opening the hood at car shows and such. The AC compressor had a problem fixed under warranty a few years ago. Bottom line for me is this car is bullet proof.

Do you put any value on driving one this summer rather than waiting another year?

Depending on one's age, it can mean a lot.

FTR: I've had an '07 for a little over a year now, no problems, has 26k on it.

My '07 was amazing. A couple of minor quirks, but once diagnosed were an easy fix.

Watch out for the harmonic balancer, they can go at any time, but that's rather unpredictable. Shine a flashlight on the pulley and check for any wobbling back and forth-- it's about a $1200 fix. These LS series engines are good to 200,000 miles and beyond. If anything is likely to break, it will be:

1) Window motors
2) AC Compressor
3) Miscellaneous sensors

As with any car.
