Shocks replacements, OEM or ???
Now that my 06 vert has turned over 76,000 miles I think I could use a new set of shocks. OEMs were pretty good but I haven't had any chance to compare them with aftermarket shocks. Any new and improved ones I should look at? Not interested in tracking the car and I would like a comfy ride but I also like corners and cornering (flat) is what I'm used to so whaddyasay? OEM replacements or?

Exactly, at 40k my Z51 shocks were sloppy. I installed the Bilstein sports and they make the wheels feel more planted to the ground. GM should of installed Bilsteins from the factory. They do now on the C7's.

Any of the oem shocks are throw away items...get some good aftermarket ones for a big improvement. I have Bilsteins and they are great, but Koni makes good ones also.

It had 53K on it from the original owner and I've put another 23K on it. Coming from a Caddy the shocks, even with 53K on them seemed quite nice compared to the Caddy's cornering ability. Now I feel it moving around too much and feel its time for new ones. Bilsteins or Konis, I'll look into them.

I have 151,000 miles and am on my 4th set of shocks.

Man, just checked Tire Rack and non adjustable Bilsteins are only $85-$89 each but adjustable Konis are $200 more EACH! Adjustability brings a helluva premium.
