Default Blendmount/Wire Tap Help

I could use some assistance on getting the wire tap to work with the radar. I have the pins plugged into the lower middle pink and black top row on the mirror and still can't get the radar to power up. Just so I'm clear, I have an 09 C6 with the auto dimming mirror and I have switched around the pins multiple times. Also, the car is running and the wire harness is plugged into
the mirror. Furthermore, the radar detector is in the on position. I took a picture to show where I have the wires plugged in. Any help would be much appreciated. This is driving me nuts.

I used to have that on my 2008 ...they kept coming loose and my V1 would work sometimes and then not work....ditched it for the hardwire. Pain in the *** to get to find the sweet spot ...as you are finding out.
Here is my write up on how to hardwire if you ever need it:

I made my own wire using telephone line and using only the green and red wires. I used a pin connector on both ends of the phone line. If I remember correctly, I took the green phone wire and pushed it into the green/red connector in the mirror. I used the red phone wire and pushed it into the black (ground) on the mirror. The green/red mirror should only power with the ignition on. I have a 2008 2 LT which has the dimming mirror and this hard wire fix has been flawless since the install back in 08. Use a volt meter to find a 12 volt source only while in ignition or accessory mode.

I have the same set up. Blend mount and mirror tap in an '09 base. Was able to install on the first attempt and no issues with losing power in the same slots as your pic. Liked it so much that bought another set up for the wife's Armada. Not so easy on that one. Couldn't get power and when I could, would lose the connection when I tried to hang the detector. Just as I was about to give up, I was able to get and keep power.

Just keep trying to get a tight connection and be careful not to bend the pins. It's worth it when you get it set up!

I completely forgot to update this. I finally got the thing to work. What I ended up having to do was order the wiretap directly from blendmount. I connected it just like I did the other and it's been working flawlessly for over a month now. I'm no electrical engineer but the previous wiretap I had must have been garbage.

Awesome that's the exact setup I'm looking at, the blendmount for V1 and mirror tap wire from blendmount as well. Glad you got it working I'm ready to order it!

08 here.....it was a bitzz to get in for a good connection, but after working too long in a very uncomfortable position, it made a good contact.

Lol! Yea I believe that, just from me going look at my mirror and fool with the connection on the back and planning I can imagine it's going to be a whole lot of fun lol, I heard the blendmount is kind of a pain to install as well.
