2007- 2010
I'm a newbie to the corvette forum and interested in purchasing a corvette year 2007 to 2010, What are some of pitfalls to avoid leading up to the purchase of my dream car in that year range?

Every year, (especially 2008>), brings more refinements, and improvements.
You can never go wrong purchasing the latest model year you can afford.
Good Luck!

Mine's a 2009 and I've only spent money on maintenance items ... new tires, oil changes, and new wiper blades. I did get a new head unit (radio) because I wanted nav, GPS, and the ability to play USB, etc. The cars are very reliable. Granted, tires are expensive and don't last as long as they do on a regular sedan, but it drives and performs a lot better.
If you start doing mods, particular performance mods, you can sink some money in a hurry though.

I believe the 09 was a low production year due to the economy, if low numbers matters to you. Shop around. If you can wait by in the winter months. Enjoy the thrill of the hunt, take your time to figure out what you desire in creature comforts.

Being a new person to the car, may I suggest you do an "advanced" search using the word search in the above red bar? You will then put in keywords in the left hand corner and hit C6 General. This will pop up dozens of threads on pitfalls, problems, issues, etc. Now you will only get a smattering of good but most likely incomplete advice/suggestions. Best way to do it in my opinion and good luck!

No matter what year Vette you end up with, just wait till the mod bug hits you. You won't be happy until the car looks and feels exactly how you want it. It happens to all of us.
