Default Water pours in when I open the door

either after a rain or a wash if I open the door and get in water pours all over me and the inside of the door. Is there anything that can be done for this. It has the glass top but, I don't think that has anything to do with it.

2010 C6

THanks

None that I know of, unless you want to create some kind of a channel or silicone (ugly) bead to prevent the water from rolling in. Hey, it even does it on convertible tops, too!

What is the condition of your rubber seals? If my roof is wet when I get in my vehicles I always swipe the door gap of the roof with my hand before opening.

Seals are good, guess I will have remember to wipe it off before getting in.

Thanks

Glass top or solid water rolls off the top & inside the cabin [u]whenever[/I] it's wet & windows are opened.
Just the way the car's aerodynamics are shaped.
Has happened on all my C6s, maybe even my C5 also.
Learned to be careful, get going to speed to blow water off unless it's raining, or prepare to get wet.

Don't think the 'rain deflectors' used on pick-up trucks would look too good on Corvettes.

No drip rails due to aerodynamics. You just learn to expect water in cabin from windshield wipers or roof drip.

Not sure if you mean the water is truly inside the car, or simply on the door sills. I get it on the inside of the doors a little when I open them, but nothing within the car, just the sills.
I just finished washing mine and there was no water inside the car.

Just do what I do, don't drive it in the rain. Also, dry it off (after washing it) before opening the door.

Seriously, it is just the way the car was designed. Doors and windows curve in slightly for aerodynamics and top is smooth so water is going to roll off when you open the door or windows.

This happens to my '05 when I wash it. Been bugging me. It seems to be water that collects on the door/window seal/sill. Instead of draining off it seems to stay put until I open the door and the angle of the seal to horizontal is now such that the water rolls off towards the front of the door and almost into the cabin onto the floor.

I've learned to open the door and just hold the chamois in the way so the water goes on the ground rather than into the car.

There are also puddles of water in the hatch sill at the front. I wash the car on the driveway so the back of the car is angled down but the water in that area pools towards the front. I sop it up with the chamois but it's annoying that it does not drain out.
