Default New Rims and Tires

I am about to pull the trigger on a set of TSW Nurbrgring wheels for a base model C6 however I am undecided on wether I am going with 19/20 or the 18/19 wheel size. Can any one help me, please post pics of your 18/19 and 19/20 wheels sizes with tire size on the wheels, Any Issues you have run Into etc.

19/20 look great. i went with factory size to avoid a horrendous ride. NJ roads not so smooth. unless you have very smooth roads where you're out keep that in mind when deciding.

just like slamming the vette on the ground.. but then it rides like crap.

good luck

Default 19/20

Here is a pic of mine. I just made the swap. My brother had them installed for me, I haven't had the chance to drive It yet. From the feedback he gave me, its pretty damn solid. 19/20 Crays

Personally I'd go 19/18 but to each their own.

18/19 Nurburgring on my base coupe. The slightly wider sizes really fill out the wheel wells nicely. No need to get larger.

I love these wheels. Really light, great price and great appearance. The ONLY drawback is I just slightly rashed out and it seems to be impossible to get color match touchup paint. I'm going to be custom mixing something for the touchup the next time I pull off the wheel.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy a second pair for the track,(18" square setup) but I've got three sets of wheels now and can't really justify another set... lol.. Buy 'em and enjoy!

Franman69, What tires sizes are you running? I am thinking 265/35-18 and 305/30-19. Your set up looks great

I went with TSW Nurburgring 19x10.5 and 18x9. Wider with same diameter. I wasn't going to post up about these until after I mount them on the car but they do look awesome.

What are the widest wheels you can mount on a base GS?

I'm the wrong person to ask since I own a narrow body.

I've squeezed 305/30/19 and 265/35/18 up front on the stock rims for a narrow body (19x10 and 18x8.5) but it really doesn't handle well at higher speeds (rear end sways). I'll be throwing these wheels on later next week as they should support the wider tire nicely.

Default Offset

What are the offsets front and rear on the 18-19 TSW's? Fit under the fenders and quarters?

OP,
I don't have a TSW on my car but every corvette I've own had 19/20 setup. It may not be for everybody but the look of the 19/20 make the car look mean..

What lugs are you using? I may switch minds out but I have a matted red center cap. Not sure how it would look with both the center cap and the lugs in red.

Yeah, me too................... Gotta try and preserve a little bit of ride quality.

Plus, I'm old school and I think the bigger wheels just don't look quite right. JMHO of course.... not trashing anyone's choice of wheels

275 front 305 rear in Michelin Pilot SS. My main concern with going up in size over stock was weight, I absolutely wouldn't do it if there was a penalty. The best part was I shaved off almost 2 lbs. per wheel over the stock sizes with non-run flats. The savings would be even greater if compared to the stock wheels with run flats.

Next set will be Sport Cups.
