Default Lug nuts

When torquing the lug nuts, do torque with the wieght on the wheels or no wieght. car resting on all wheels or car still jascked up?

When I torque mine I do it 2 steps. 1st step is 50 foot lbs with no weight on the wheels and the 2nd step is 100 lbs with just enough weight on the wheels to keep the wheel from turning.

Yup, that's what i do.

Not exactly 50 foot lbs but i do nice and snug while wheel is in the air, then torque to proper specs when wheel is on the ground.

Tires in air blocked from turning. Three stage 60-80-100 LB FT ....Star pattern

I do mine sitting on the ground in a star pattern. 100 ft lbs.

My understanding of wheel torque, is to fasten wheels on both tight and straight.

Sitting car on floor then torquing does neither. ........IMHO

Tire or tires off of the ground with Wifey sitting in the car holding the brake pedal down. Then tighten in a star pattern to 60, 80 and then to 100lbs.
