Default 2010 grand sport - options button

I have a 2010 Gr Sport. The vehicle came with an aftermarket radio/nav system. The original vehicle had the base radio system. I took the aftermarket out and replaced with a 2007 radio. Could not get the option button to work? Then re-programed the FOBS and still the option button will not work. When I plugged the replacement radio in there were only 2 plugs on the back. I see the vehicle has three? is something wrong due to the fact I do not have a 2010 radio?

please help?

option button doesn't work?
Does that mean the option button press has no effect, or that you get the "options not available " message?

The radio swap you mention should not matter.

The 3rd plug you saw is probably the GPS antenna... which OEM radio did you install?

Thanks for your help, nothing happens when options pushed. in speaking to GM (radio people) they said that it is linked to the radio and I need to replace with a 2010 or newer. GM did make a change in 2010. So I have ordered one hopping this is the issue. I ran into this once before (2 years ago) with a Z06 but I can't remember what the exact fix was.

Strange. Looking forward to the result, but I have my doubts.

Clearly, the radio *is* linked via the GMLAN, but the radio isn't REQUIRED -- the aftermarket radio didn't use the GMLAN at all, and your options button still worked when it was installed, didn't it?
