Default Nav/radio screen actuator not working

I have a 13 grand sport with nav that I purchased used a year ago and I finally figured out where the cd disks are located. (Never use CDs for music). I always wondered what the little arrow button was for....pushed it but nothing ever happened so I pulled on the bottom of the nav screen yesterday and it opened up! My question is why is it not working? Fuse? Actuator? Help!!!

Is it a aftermarket unit or a GM? This happened to my Pioneer unit and it was just dirty gears after it was opened up and the gears and switch contacts were cleaned up it worked great.

If yours is an OEM unit then I highly recommend getting it replaced before your warranty expires.

That radio from the dealer is in the $2,500 dollar range, I know this since I just had mine replaced (under warranty) a month ago.

Like pokerpro says, take her back. No need to worry while you have a warranty.
