Default Brake Pads for 2009 C6

My brake pads squeak a little. What pads do you recommend, with the least amount of brake dust? I'll change all 4.

Depending on your driving needs, if you are just needing a street pad.

You can go with a ceramic pad compound.

GM has some
Some had good results with the duralast gold pads. ( I was not one of them, but some on this forum have had good results.) they are inexpensive.

I have carbotech 1521, I like them, but they are not cheap.

Hawk Performance Ceramic is what was recommended to me and I'm waiting for them to arrive. I don't track or street race my car, but I do have a little fun with it every now and then.

Look at the Carbotech 1521 pad very low dust quiet and still has the braking performance you expect from your corvette. The 1521 is a ceramic based compound that also contains carbon and Kevlar. The 1521 is also 100% non corrosive will not harm your wheels or paint. Not the cheapest pad on the market but you pay for what you get.

Carbotech™ Bobcat 1521™ The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non-corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.

I put on some generic ceramic pads I got with new rotors. Got some squeak for a while, but it went away. They are all made to a high standard. Just put new ceramic pads on the rear of my wife's Lexus and only paid $24.00 through PEP Boys.

Hawk HPS pads! This is one area I will not go "cheap" on. I've used Hawk on all my cars, GTO's, SS Camaros, etc. and through TireRack
