Default bull guard / guard grille on a C6

Hey Y'all,

I decided to install a bull guard / guard grille ( push bar ) on my C6. Curious to see how it would turn out. The original idea was to protect the front of the car from random people bumping into my car @ the parking lot of any store / mall / events.

No drilling required. Everything is bolt on. Some fancy hardware will be required to pull this off. Everything painted black to blend in nicely.

The bull guard / guard grille came from a 2010 Ford F150. Bought it on Craigslist for $50 w/ all the hardware. Brand name is Westin.

Can be un-installed at anytime.

Is it fully functional? I need some time to push / bump a car (my beater civic) and see what happens.

Positive and negative comments / ideas are welcomed. I will keep it on regardless of any comments.

And yes, I have plans for a rear guard as well. A 1 1/4 hitch receiver has been installed in the rear.

I find it hard to believe that this wasn't posted on April 1st... I'm waiting to see a spare tire mounted on the roof.

One of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen.

I love it!

Default You've Got It !

First, I think the bull bar should be done in Arctic White and you may want to consider some Rigid Dually XL series off road lights as a "just in case" precaution -- but remember to leave room for the Warn Winch. As a styling cue, a wire mesh headlight protector similar to the '53 Corvette would round out the look.

As for the rear, there's no need to retain the traditional and time-honored look of the C6's round tail lights. Incorporating some '66 Impala rectangular tail lights would offer much better visibility and I believe there are LED kits available. Got to go with a 2" Class III hitch as you never know when you'll need to pull a buddy's trailer full of ATVs to the races.

As always, more pics, please!

You must live in New York

I'll never forget my first visit there, in the 80's, our taxi cab driver was pushing a guy on a bicycle about 35 mph with his brush guard, because he would not move over for him.

Don't need a 2" Class 3 Hitch, I should remove the rear section of the car to pull tractors.

If you are going for that 'something different' look, I think you nailed it. What's next...mud flaps off of a Jeep?

Maybe raise it up with some bigger tires, a new version of the Lamborghini LM002.

You need a 60" LED light bar on top.

Great! Now just put some big bars on the sides to prevent door dings and your set!

Don't forget the "ballz" hanging off the rear guard, chrome ones would not match though
