Default Targa top in trunk I cant seem to remove.

Okay guys, I've been lurking for awhile, and finally bought my first corvette last night! A black/black 07 C6. The vette came with the moon roof type targa that you can see through, and the solid one in the trunk holders. When I got it, I figured it was an easy thing to release it from the trunk. But today I tried to find a lever or something to release it, but I couldn't find one for the life of me. I've searched for the last hour trying to find something online or even a YouTube video and I got nothing. Can I get some help guys, sorry if it's a dumb question.

It's rear posts are dropped into a pair of catches. You just have to grab the rear corners and jerk straight up. It's solid and harder to free up then you would think. Cheers.

There is no lever. It just lifts out.

The manual is your friend.
I have a convertible but here is a link to an online manual. Go to page 137 or so. Sounds like you just pick up at the rear edge of the top.

Summer heat expands everything. Try doing it when it's cooler, like early morning.. Sometimes it requires a good upward jerk.

I had the same problem. Cool it and a good jerk popped it out.

Congratulations on your new Vette. Do check out the owners manual and maybe watch a video showing how a few people do it. U-tube search.

My first Vette was a C5 that I went a couple of hundred miles to get. I started home and stopped to fill up with gas. Couldn't find the release for the gas tank lid.

Thank you, I found and pdf manual for the car. I also jerked the roof as stated by some members and it worked. I was just afraid of it being secured by some lever or something.

Just yank up on the end closest to the rear. It'll pop out.
