Default Goodbye for now everyone

FS: ** SOLD ** 2009 CRM, Z51, A6, 3LT, NPP, Gumbies, 35k miles.

As I near retirement, I need to cut my expenses so my beloved Corvette had to go. A great Forum member from Chicago bought the car so it will still be part of the forum. I may also lurk a bit by checking in. Here's a picture of the Vette being loaded on the truck to Chicago. In a bit of irony, I purchased the Vette in Chicago and shipped it to CA, now it is being trucked back.

I was lucky, I was able to retire and I moved up to a C6 shortly there after from me C5. Wife is still working however. She even told me I could have a new C7, but the catch was I needed to go back to work as she wants to retire. I like retirement to much, so my C6 is just fine.

Good luck on your retirement.

Please don't come on here and complain about your new "fixed income" my parents call me up weekly to do that!

Enjoy your retirement.

I bought my corvette as a retirement present, hopefully you'll be back once your finances stabilizes.

I had to sell my '69 L36 427/390hp Corvette about 4 years ago after my employer popped a surprise "retirement" on me. Now I have stabilized my finances and I was able to buy the 09 1LT Vette at the left. Hopefully you'll be able to make the same kind of arrangement work.

Good luck and don't be a stranger. You don't need a vette to shoot the breeze here.

Like others here, I bought my C6 after retirement. When my wife and I retired, we sold our house in California, and moved to Arizona to be closer to daughter and grandkids. Luckily we were able to pay cash for our house, so having no house payment allowed me to buy the Vette. Enjoy your retirement, and I hope you can return to Corvette ownership in the not too distant future.

I hope your retirement tuns out to be great.

Interesting how these cars sometimes go back home. I bought one from a guy on the east side of Peoria, Illinois. I sold it a couple of years later to a guy that lived on the other side of Peoria.

You can still be here. I still post on forums for cars that I used to own.
My current Z06 was from NY & shipped to NM. I bought it from that guy & now it's back out here.

Corvettes are a blast...retirement is another whole life, enjoy it to the max every day and if the "moment is right" buy another or whatever floats your boat!
