Never seen this type of pulley on Alternator
I am needing to swap out my pulley but this Duralast alternator is quite different from what I have seen before. I purchased an overdrive pulley for my alternator to help out with my sound system. Here is a picture of what the pulley looks like after I remove this shield. Inside it has a hex screw as you can somewhat see.
I am lost for words on how I am to remove this and replace it with an ASP overdrive pulley.

If you haven't already viewed it, here is a link on installing the pulley. Reverse process to uninstall. A local shop that does alternator work probably has the tools if you don't want to try the first method.

Yep,spline socket for the pulley.
Then just a long Torx or hex shaft socket that fits the shaft socket to go through the spine tool to hold the shaft stationary while you use a wrench on the spine tool to spin the pulley off/ back on.
If you check at an autoparts store, should be able to pick the needed kit of basic tools for around $25 to remove and install the new pulley.

I went ahead and ordered that kit from Orielly's. Will be here today. Might as well use it in case this alternator ever goes out and I will have to reinstall that clutch pulley. Thanks for the replies.

I just pulled my BlownBlue alternator off and sent it in to Mechman to be serviced, and at the same time I'm going from a 6 rib to an 8 rib belt drive system so I had them change out the pulley while its there. waiting to get it back now.

If you have a manual trans, then just the standard fixed pulley is needed instead.
As for the OE stock valeo alternator, don't over spin it past what is rated for OEM. If you are running a under drive main pulley, then use its reduction percentage to order the needed off set over drive percentage to spin the alternator back up to is standard max at full tilt boggy only. Over spinning the Valeo will end badly, with the coil winding support cages cracking, and trashing the unit isntead.
