A very good cause. Always did toy runs when I was riding motorcycles. Our city has laid down so many restrictions for these types of events, that they have basically dried up and went away. Damn socialists.
My Corvette club does Christmas baskets. We collect donations from members, and put together about 130 laundry baskets full of food, and deliver them to needy families in our city a week before Christmas.
We were holding a golf event last year, and a man came up to us and gave us a donation. Said the year before he was unemployed and we gave his family a basket, which was the high point of their Christmas. Said it helped them get through a very hard time, and renewed his family's faith in humanity. They have since recovered and he wanted to pay it forward. Brought tears to our eyes.
