Default Vitesse Motorsports Throttle Controller - WOW!!!!

So after reading on the forums about all the throttle lag a C6 has I bit the bullet and bought a Vitesse Motorsports Throttle Controller as it has gotten so many good write ups here.

Took about 30 minutes from start to finish to install

Then like a real man, when I went on my test drive I set it in the highest setting SP9

When I mashed the throttle, I proceeded to scare the crap out of myself as the car, with my brand new very expensive Michelin Pilot Sports laid down two of the longest and darkest black marks on the street all while pulling like a freight train and swaying from side to side !
(traction control was on)

All I can say is WOW !

After wiping the smile off of my face I finally backed it down to SP6 as this seemed like the best balance of power to traction

I am sure my car is not any faster than before but it sure gets there a heck of a lot faster ...

This thing is great because unlike a throttle tune you can adjust it on the fly

I have no affiliation with this company but if you are on the fence about buying a throttle controller or even a throttle tune I am here to tell you DO IT !

It feels like a I am driving a different car and it is much more enjoyable!

I knew you would really like it! I love being able to adjust on the fly. When its raining out I just put it back to 0 but when its dry Its back on 9 for me! Well worth the $$$ Best bang for the buck IMO

What lag lol lol

Absolutely no lag at all when it is on SP 9 , throttle is instantaneous almost to much to handle .... but it will sure make you smile when you stand on it

I am sure when I get use to it I will set it on SP9 like my friend Fastone27 but for now its on SP6

I wanna do it but it looks like a pain to connect it in the harness above the gas pedal.

No not at all , took me 30 minutes tops and that included programing

Instead of fighting the connection at the gas pedal , I just took the two 13 MM bolts out that hold the pedal to the firewall and dropped the whole pedal assembly down where I could see it . popped it right off ....this should be in the directions ! .

I tried to take it off while the pedal was mounted and I could not figure out the secret . to easy just to drop it !

Unplugged the vehicle harness from the pedal , plugged in the Throttle Controller to the pedal , then plugged the vehicle harness into the controller , wire tie it neatly , mount the control box next to steering wheel

I am telling you guys . this thing is as much fun as you can have with your cloths on !

Done

I installed mine yesterday. It was so easy a 3 year old could do it. I just popped down the black cover above the pedals and unplugged the pedal and plugged in the controller. Less than 10min I had it installed and running.

OK, I have an '07 A6. When I purchased it a little over 3 years ago it had ARH, hi-flow cats and X-pipe with a tune. Will this have any effect on my tune, or is it a simple install?

Can't say for sure if it will affect your tune but all it does, at the risk of oversimplification is change the signal that the gas pedal is sending to the ECM

Call or Email Ahmed , he answers very quickly !

as far as the install , 30 minutes tops !!!

Thanks. I am not sure myself if it would have any effect on the tune and I don't think it would simply based on what it does, but just wanting to check before I invest in one.
I will email them.

They do not offer the controller for 2005 models at this time.

I have one installed in my 2013 GS. Great product and simple installation. Really like it!!!

The one available right now doesn't work on the computer for 05s since it's different. They're working on a new one for 05ers but not out yet.

Ok yeah I knew the 05 E40 computer was different than 06 plus but figured that the controller would work.

No it will have no effect on the tune at all. All this does it tell the computer that you are pushing more on the throttle pedal than you really are. That is all it does. Basicly if you push 1/4 down on the pedal than rather that signal going to the throttle body it first goes through the aftermarket controller. Then the controller pretty much lies to the throttle body and tells it that you are 1/2 way down on the pedal. It's not like some of those so called chips that plug between the IAT sensor and wire and send false timing and fuel info to the ecm.
