Benn having this discussion with friends lately, so I decided to ask the enthusiasts. which is your favorite?
not the best or fastest, but the best looking, sexiest generation.

I like all the even number Vettes. I find the C3 to be an embarrassment.

Tough decision for me between a C3 and C6. I picked the C3 in the poll.

I voted for C2, although late C6 and all C7's are wonderful cars…IMO

Hard to ever get over a terrific '64 coupe I had in high school.

Tough to pick just one. The C2 coupe gets my vote, the C3 vert is another favorite. C6Z06 and 427 vert are right there as well for pure styling.

I voted for the C2. First off it was my first Corvette, a 1966 BB 427/425 roadster and also because IMO I thing they are the best looking designs ever.

Now would I trade my current C6 for another C2 just like my first, most likely not. If I did not use the C6 as a driver that migth be a different story, but right now I happen to like to modern conveniences and I also like the looks.

It really depends on what you want to do with it. If it's nostalgia only, then the early ones would be a great choice. If it's for driving and road trips, then the C5-C7 would get the vote, because they are more refined, better suspensions, more creature comforts, and much more dependable than the early years.
Besides having one for an investment, and for car shows only, then a few of the C1-C3 are the ones to have.

I prefer to drive in comfort on road trips, so for me it's a C6 or C7. I voted for the C6, because the jury is still out on the C7 as far as drivetrain dependability.

If I was going by looks.

1. Wide body C6
2. Metal bumper C3
3. C2 with side pipes and big block hood

I can't divide it into just generations. They vary too much within them.

However: '56-'57, '68-'72, any C6.

C5 and above for comfort is for sure, but as far as just sexy/looks, I always find myself staring at the C2's. The curves on that car are just beautiful.
