Subject has been brought up many times. Suggest you go over to the Tech Forum though. Consensus is, it's too costly and why would you want to, but it's your money.
For a lot of drag racing on drag radials or slicks, the 6L80 won't live at that power level.
Good luck.

Basically I'm tired of the t56 it's had a hard lift needs rebuilt .Ido like consistently so auto would be the way to do it for racing .I thought the 4l60 was the weaker of the two ?

Like I said, go over and talk to the guys in the C6 Tech Forum and maybe contact RPM Transmisssions. They have done both the 4L60 and 6L80 swaps and will have actual tech and cost info.
The 6L80 is not as stout as the 4L60. It's weak in the 2-3-4 clutches. Upgrades are available now but still don't hold a lot of power repeatedly at the track.
