373 gears in A4
Would it be OK to run a 3.73 gear in an 05 with A4 trans? My last car had 315s and it was great overall. 05 ls2 with heads, cam, intake, cai, longtubes etc ran 1090s with this set up and slicks. Wondering if the 373 gear will be too tall for the day to day street driving as it is nearly never raced. New car is basically set up the same except little smaller stall and forged motor internals but with this 373 gear. I've never seen an A4 C6 with 373 gears. What rpms would you expect at highway speeds and would it be driver friendly at highway speeds? I'd appreciate any feedback.

I run a 3.42 rear end in my 05 vette, at 70 I think it is about 2200 rpm, I have a 98 trans am with 3.73s and it turns about 2400-2500 at 70. As you know the converter you pick will control how it feels around town more than the rear end, but after it locks up in drive, this is about where you will be sitting at depending on your wheel/tire choice. To me both are plenty drivable, 3200 stall in my vett and 3800 in my TA, but neither are my daily driver so my opinion can differ from others. Good luck👍

Sorry, I didn't clarify, I'm going to buy this other 05 and it has had 3.73s put in it. I'm just concerned that mileage will suck and the rpms will be high on the highway. I'm buying for a toy pretty much but I will drive pretty much everyday that he weather is nice.
