Last year was the worst winter of my life (been here for 65 of them ), and the year before wasn't so great either.
"CNY" -- does that mean "central"? Where are you? I'm between Honeoye and Canandaigua Lakes.

God I Hate winter........I put my Corvettes away for the winter, but like to get them out on nice winter days whenever I can..I bought my C6 in December and only got to drive it a few weeks before the salt on the roads started..It's killing me to have a new ride in the garage and all I can do is look at it....We just had a good bit of rain yesterday so it washed the salt away, but now I have to wait for the water to evaporate.....I too have been busy just buying parts to install in the spring....If it ever gets here......WW

Being able to look at the car in the garage, may be worse then not seeing it at all.....WW

That may be true. I'd be staring at it for hours. At least the parts would be on it though. I haven't even gotten used the clutch yet. Traded a Mustang GT for it, different clutch pedal feel. Although it is a gigantic climb up the ladder of coolness having the C6.

Down here in eastern NY L.I. It's F N snowing again. I know it's winter but the groundhog didn't see it's shadow. So spring should've been here already! LOL Two weeks ago we had 25 inches of snow and it was a balmy 60 degrees on Wednesday. 99 percent of the snow was gone. Now 5-8 inches of this crap. Was ready to take it to the motor shop for headers, now I have to wait a few more days. Anyway I have to wait till my buddy's car is done. I drop mine n we pick up his. Swap em out. We both need a ride there too far away. My point we spending money when we can't even drive them. But remember this...come spring and summer we will be so happy. Have a nice day!

I used to live about 1/2 mile from the lake, west of Rochester a ways. It had its own climate in the winter. We would be having a blizzard, but drive 5-10 miles south and the sun would be shining.
I usually get plenty of snow here, but very little lake effect. No matter, the Vette is a summer toy and stays asleep.
Salt is for french fries!

you've got the Tug Hill plateau right in your backyard, go play on it with one of these (when conditions improve) ………...

Hah, right in the worst snowbelt in the US.

I hope you're right. But you know as well as I that there will be nastiness here before the good stuff comes. It's just how many storms will hit us.

I like to shoot for April 1st as a target date to get the dragon out. That's ONLY seven weeks away here in Oswego. Nice shots of your car at Burritt's. There's a few forum members on here that are from Oswego. We should have a get together.

Weather is beautiful here in Sunny California. If I don't decide to run over the hill to Reno I don't have to worry about salt. Donner Pass can get snowy at times, as the Donner party discovered. I drove my '69 Mustang convertible to Birmingham, AL in April 2009 for the 45th Mustang Anniversary and ran into a snow storm the first day out from Las Vegas at Flagstaff, AZ and one on the way home between Battle Mountain, NV and Reno. Actually, the day before the blizzard in NV I had made the run across the salt flats on Hwy. 80 and the salt foam was blowing across the road like snow. Washed the underside of the car very thoroughly in coin ops after each experience. Spring time in the Rockies.
