You, can buy a removal tool at any auto parts store for about $10. With the tool the connector just pops off. Simple and takes seconds.

If you use the tool it is best to pull the fuel pump fuse then start the engine and let it run out of gas. This will prevent fuel from spraying all over the place .

Drifting
There are videos on YouTube that show you exactly how to do it. Not sure what you are replacing them with but I didn't want to bend/flex a painted cover around the line. Very easy to do

Fuel rail on the front drivers side has a schrader valve that you can use to relieve the pressure on the fuel rail into a cup to begin with.
From there, just need a fuel tool for a couple of bucks from any auto parts store,
And you will use the tool to disconnect the braid line from the solid line on the fire wall.
Note, put a paper towel under the connection to catch the little fuel that will drain out as you pop the connector free.
