The ones I don't get are the spam where when you roll your cursor over the thread title it shows live streaming topics but when you open the thread there are zero posts and nothing to click on in the off chance you want to actually watch what's streaming. What's up with those?

I think you're right. I just looked at C7 General and there aren't any of these types of threads on the first page.

No, that's incorrect. All of the C7 moderators are new moderators that were never moderators for C6 General. The current C6 General moderators are the same ones that have been C6 General moderators for the last 5 or 6 years.

Those are attempted SPAM threads that were captured by the "system". Those attempted spammers didn't know that new forum members with some small minimum of posts (I'm not sure what that number is) cannot post links to other websites.

Unfortunately, there's still a problem with that attempted trap, because if they edit their post, the system will let them post links to other websites.

Look at the SPAM posts that get through. They've all been edited.
