Hey guys,

I just picked up an 09 Z06. The hatch won't release with the fob, button under the steering wheel, or the hidden button right above the license plate. It will release if I stick the key in the hole by the license plate, but thats it. I searched and couldn't find someone with the same problem as me. I am thinking either 1. mechanism needs to be replaced, fuse, or needs to be cleaned. I have heard of people cleaning the mechnasim but couldn't find a DIY or how to.

Can anyone shed some light?

Once again, it's not just my external button by the license plate, it's all electronic ways to release the hatch. I was looking for someone who had the same problems/a way to clean the mechanism.

Check the fuses. Located in passenger footwell under the carpet or in box in engine compartment. Can't get to my car to give you exact location. I'd check there first before I'd worry about replacing the actuator assembly.
