Running the A/C right now
OP wouldn't it be worth it for you to get one of those diesel blast/ blower heater thingies or if that s overkill, one of those heaters that attach to a propane bottle? That would be much better than idling th car for 30 minutes.

Thank You. It serves the purpose of keeping the toy warm in the winter.
As far as my Seasonal plate is concerned, I get to keep the plate, but I have to register the plate and get the paperwork on April 1 for it to be good for the coming summer. We get a yearly sticker for the year to put on the plate that expires the last day of October.
Although, we don't get snow until December, because my plate has expired, I can't drive the car after October 31, unless I get a regular plate and registration. That requires a front and rear plate.
It's what I want to do to be able to run without a front plate legally.

Being lazy by nature, especially when it comes to dealing with the government, I just keep the plates and insurance on year 'round as I mentioned before. So it's still covered by insurance during the winter if my barn catches on fire, a tree crushes it and the Vette, whatever.
We're supposed to run both plates here, but most Vettes and similar cars don't. Cops generally don't bother us over that, but of course it's always one more thing to throw at us if they catch us for speeding or something.
But I never go over the speed limit.

I also keep insurance on it year round, but only Fire/Theft and comprehensive, in case I drop a ladder on it or something stupid It's only about $10/month for that.
I have full coverage when it's time to play with it.

Only got to 82 today, but many thanks for your sunscreen warning that saved me from a sunburn while spending most of the day watching scantily clad women at an outdoor festival in just a t-shirt and shorts.

Mine has been in the garage since mid-October. The weather is so miserable up in hell, I don't think it'll be out for a spin until May. Oh-well, other hobbies I guess?

Nice try.....but no place where it can get -2 degrees blows Texas or any southern state away. Mans/ womans 3 objectives for survival....food...shelter....and HEAT !!!....not necessarily in that order. I'll take 100 all summer long if it means staying away from the zero S@#T !!!

I visited Florida the winter of 1972 and went back, quit my job, and packed up. Never looked back. Life is too short and it is 72 and sunny here today.
