Garage divider ideas? Wife dings my door
I'll be picking up my new to me 2010 Grand Sport in the next week or two and I need to do something to prevent the wife and kid from putting door dings into my car like they have my previous rides. Has anyone built some sort of divider to prevent this? Hanging a curtain won't stop the assasins unfortunately.
Thanks, any photos or links are appreciated.

How you mount to the floor is open to many different options;
from free standing as the pic shows, or having a recessed concrete lag shield anchor, one for each end, and bolting down the PVC curtain using wing bolts in to the anchors.
Easy on/off when not in use.

I despise people who just swing open car doors with disregard for others property. Let alone Family! !! What is their malfunction? I'm at a loss for words that family would do that. Sorry your family doesn't know how to respect your property. Get some thick sheets of cardboard against your car. Tell your family to show some f/!^%&G respect bro '!!!

I have the spouse parking on the left side of the garage, so that their door opens far away. But in your case the kids would be opening the door on your side. Yikes.
You could have a new family rule where the kids board & exit mom's car outside in the driveway, lol.

I pull one car in head first and back the Vette in leaving only 8-12" between the cars (passenger side of each towards the middle of the 2 car garage). This leaves more room for the driver's door on each car to open (also foam door protectors on each wall) for full access by the driver.
Any passengers must get in or out BEFORE the car is pulled into the garage.

You can make a divider using PVC piping and pool noodles for the foam protectors on the cross pieces, and the side pieces.

my wife and kids know not to ding the Corvette. They pay attention when getting in our out of any car.

my wife will not even go in the garage. if she needs something she asks me. she said an accident of some kind is not worth the grief. She's smarter than me I think .
