Thanks

I am in Arizona on business this week. I will find out where I bought it and take some better pics when I get home on Friday. The roof fits in the back even with the divider installed and if you need to take it out, it only weighs a couple of pounds and comes out in seconds. I really like it.
I made a note to get you more info on Friday so I will not forget.

OP, are you going to use stain, paint, fabric or some other product or combination of products to finish? Looks like it is built with MDF and plywood...each may take stain/paint differently. Kudos on the design.

Just as an FYI, I believe Southern Car Parts has the carpet that is alleged to match the hatch area perfectly. Sold in 40"x36" increments. I'm thinking of building just the partition, as I also am not a skilled woodworker.

I would suggest matching the interior color.
I would match the rugs in the truck

For the plywood, I will use black carpet to match the trunk. For the MDF, I will use bondo to finish and paint.

I wish I had this information before ordering the carpet! I just ordered the closest looking carpet

I went a different route and used black naugahyde.
BTW, are you still able to store your top with that setup?

the box only goes to the lid shade, so the top should fit without an issue.

the carpet came in today, but the color seems little darker... like ones you see on the speaker boxes... but I think it shouldn't be that bad.

Going the same route as you, $130 for a board with carpet on it ???
Mine will look just fine for about $20, don't know whether to carpet it or have it done with the X or diamond pattern that is so popular in vinyl to match the interior, wow, that might look hot huh
Whatever it wont cost that much even if I have the hot rod shop cover it with matching vinyl

Me ???

I finished the board today, will take it to my hot rod guy who did my console lid already with ebony & titanium stitching, have him do the partition in diamond pattern, 2" should look good IMO.
I don't need the pockets and cubby holes etc, just something to stop things from sliding backwards.

Sorry about the hi-jack, carry on

this is why I decided to build my own.
I didn't want to spend couple hundred dollars.

so far I've spent less than 50 for all the supplies.

I should get this project done this weekend... as long as it doesn't rain here in GA

Much to my dismay after taking it to my upholstery guy I find that the diamond pattern is mucho expensive to do, MUCHO
But its for my baby and it will look so SIC I told him go ahead
I'll post pix in another thread when its done so as not to distract from this thread

Got mine from Exotic Vettes, fits perfectly, store roof panel no problem, I hot glued a C6 logo from E-bay on it,all my stuff is within reach,it's one of the first things I bought after I got my car. I couldn't imagine driving around with stuff in the back flying all around, better sound from the rear speakers too!! old pic
