Default Another Deadly Crash

Read about another recent Corvette crash victim. In Las Vegas seems the driver of the 89 vette a 75 year old man lost control of his car and hit a curb and then the car ended up in a tree. all this while he was in a street race with a motorcycle. When are people going to learn to take it to the track. At 75 you think he would know better........

The notion of racing a bike - you'd think he'd know better. But, I accept your rationale as more sensible....memores acti prudentes futuri!

And racing a bike to boot! Can't win that one. But the street isn't the place to race!

He shouldn't even try to race a bike in an '89 Vette.

How is this any responsibility of this site?

We all are grown-up; responsible for our own decisions, right?

Sheesh!

Update from the site above:

Metro news release on the crash does not indicate any motorcycle or street racing was involved. It says a 75-year-old driver of a 1989 Corvette lost control and struck a palm tree.
So, a very sad end to a fellow Vette lover. R.I.P. brother.

Sad thing to see. Ever since I got my Vette I've had numerous cars want to race me including stupid cars like Toyota Camrys and Hond Accords but mostly Mustangs. If I'm next to them at a light I just let them take off and make fools of themselves. It's tempting for sure to put them back in their place, but I refuse to take a chance of endangering my life or others. In a big city the odds of something bad happening is even worse. Want an even grudge match, then it's time to go to the track.
