I stared at this thread like I was trying to solve a puzzle on Wheel of Fortune and still couldn't decipher what was meant. I am also curious now...

Much like, or similar to window tint, once a cling loses it’s ability to stick, it’s difficult to regain it. You can try using a mild detergent and water on your cling to renew its life. If that fails, then it is time for a new one.

Good luck

I never could get the clingy shade to stay on in the first place so I threw it away.

I guess it's time for a new one.. I don't want to spray anything on the inside ... Thanks.

The instructions that came with mine mentionned that in order for it to regain it's static "clinginess" you had to put it in the dryer for a few minutes. (can't remember how long).

It's static electricity, of course it can be re-used!

I would be surprised if GM sells a piece of static cling plastic separately.

Mid America does, and has been selling it for well over 20 yrs. And it works. OP, this may sound odd, but I'd suggest gently washing it with very light soap, then let it dry.

Put in clothes dryer set on low with damp cloth for 2 min. Iron out wrinkles with iron set on low with a damp cloth over it . At least that's what the instructions say .
