Anyone else like their C6's size?
One critical aspect the designers of the C6 was its size. For years the automotive press had considered the Corvette too large when compared to its European counterparts. So the designers reduced the C6's size when they updated the C5 (C5: length 179.7", width 73.6" vs C6: length 174", width 72.6"). This downsizing was also an attempt to appeal to European buyers whose roads were less accommodating to larger vehicles when compared to American roads. The results of this accommodation to the European tastes certainly can't be considered a success when European sales of the Corvette are counted. Yet I consider it a success when it is seen in context of what the essence of a sport car is. Part of that essence is size and for that I considered the downsizing of the C6 so appealing to me. The C6 was an effort to return to its roots as far as size was concerned. The C1: Length 167.3", width 69.8". The C2: length 175.1" width 69.6". So the C6 return to its roots size wise seems to me a good thing, certainly better than what happened to the C3: length 185.3" width 69". I for one hope that the trend of downsizing the Corvette continues, because "size does matter".

Well, yes and no. Its a sports car so its spose to be on the small side so-to-speak. Not sure if it should really be any smaller though. While I do love the performance of the smaller sports cars, I still kinda want to feel like i'm driving a car and not a go cart. On the street at least....LOL.

Interior size I wouldn't want it any smaller, but exterior, hell ya! I mean the taillights have 7" of air space around them, the back end could easily be 4-5" shorter with no other differences. The front has 2' between the condensor and the nose tip, I wish that was less too.
I mean a BRZ has 4 seats and is smaller all around.
Smaller exterior is better all around.

I miss the leg room I had in my C-5. If they only moved the gas pedal about 2" forward it would of helped. I would be too cramped up on a long trip if I took one!

Coming from a Miata to a Corvette, I like the size of the Corvette better. With the Miata I had the seat all the way back and actually had to modify it to sit lower, but still was looking through near the top of the windshield. I could not use the sun visors at all since they would completely block my vision.
The seating position in my WRX feels like I'm sitting in a truck compared to the Corvette, it's so much higher. The WRX is also about six inches longer, but a little narrower.
So I like the size of the C6. It's very low, enough to feel the speed, but big enough that it's not uncomfortable. I actually have the seat forward quite a bit to give me good leverage on the pedals, which is unusual for me in most cars.

My C5 Z16 felt like it had the most interior room, with feeling like a smaller car on the outside and windshield view. My GS feels like a bigger car from driving perspective and interior a little more snug than the C5, but just about perfect. As far as a C7 ,I will never own one as it it too small on the inside "regardless of what the specs say" it is just to cramped for me no matter seat settings etc.

As an average-sized guy (5'10" - 175 lbs,) It "fits" like a dream, with regard to legroom, headroom. etc. Although I already drive a wide-body Grand Sport, cosmetically speaking, and assuming I could change the dimensions.....I would have widened the entire car ~2"~, so as to accommodate 345mm-width OEM tires in the rear, and left all else alone.
Just my 2 cents worth !!
