yeah the eforce doesnt leave much room. I almost went how you did yours - cutting the vent but figured why not make my own. Similar to your my temps have drop so im happy with that. Next is installing a dual fan setup to help even more.

well its been about 6 months since i installed the custom hood vent and it has been performing very well. not issues whatsoever, no cracking no delamination, nothing..,,,only touched up painting the rivets but thats it...enjoying seen the heat waves coming out of the hood at red lights...it literary shoots up like 18" high...lol...the same with the rain covers...both of them work great...the magnetic shee cover though wont stay on at 110mph...mine flew away---had to test it..,,,had to make another one...but all good now...the other ones stay there at any speed...my temps have stayed around 200deg even during hot summer months and race nites...the vent works,,no question...

I like your ingenuity and how you took a popular mod and tweaked it to your own purposes. I know it's too little, too late now, but the only constructive criticism I have is I would have trimmed the mid-hood support a little further so that your vent could be installed underneath the hood. Then you could fab up some sort "gasket" to protect and cleanup the cut edges in the hood. It's a small difference, but I think it would give a slightly cleaner look.

Either way, good job!

Ever thought of making a kit for this for others to install? I'd be interested

I've been wondering if anyone has created a slip cover for these hoods helping with keeping water out or driving in the rain... So an opening cover that just slides to the side under the vent that can just be slid over for wet environments... just makes sense to me
