Default Curb Alert

I'm contemplating buying a curb alert from Southern car parts. Is there anything negative about this product ?
Thank you

I can tell you it's easy installations, top 20 minutes installed few, have one in my car, haven't hit curb in three years. It works!!!!!!
They have video showing the easy installations, and how to set it.
The the only recommendation I can give you, is once you have set with curb, I set it for 12 inches, tighten the set screw and then took RTV and squeezed it into the piano hinge so it will never move, if anybody ever hits it.

I do get get some false warnings (discussed in another thread somewhere), but you know they're false, but I still like mine. Bought it after hitting a cur... fortunately no real damage.

Easy install and set up. Wath the videos, especially the You Tube "Calibrating the Curb Alert".

It definitely works. I installed one after putting on a fiberglass ZR1 spoiler. No longer have to back in to be safe. False alerts are annoying but worth it. You can see it right in the center/top of grille.

Is there an alternate mounting location for the camera? I have to have a front license plate here in NY and the plate is mounted in the top of the grill opening right where their camera is located.

How often do you get the false alerts?

I had one, also didn't care for the false alarms. I ended up just backing in most of the time..but also installed fangs in case I do park forward and go a bit too far. Fangs work fantastic.
