Default My Frankenstein

What I'll be changing my stock C6 into...

I've finished painting all the parts I'm going to paint. Went with the same color as the exterior. LeMans Blue. Inside console, gauge trim and sides, plus the ignition and door buttons. Outside just the calipers and
red flag on symbol all the same color now.

Next on the list is the exhaust for the roar.

I'll be going with- http://www.carid.com/2005-chevy-corv...-71405042.html

I lied I will also be painting the exhaust tips black as well hehe.

Then new wheels- http://www.carid.com/oe-performance-...-50767226.html

Black out all the lights using vinyl and tent the windows.

Spoiler- http://www.carid.com/2005-chevy-corv...er-305271.html

Finishing up with the lip kit, side skirts and fender flares by Duraflex because it can take a beating and I don't have to paint squat. ;P -

http://www.carid.com/2005-chevy-corv...129277763.html

Oh and whatever the hell these things are called lol

Wont break the bank and give me the sound and look I'm going for. Damn thing is already fast enough with 400hp. Not racing it much except a few track days just to open her up and kill some cones.

Should take me a few months and while I work on it I'll post pics here. The interior painting and calipers I've already shown on the forums so didn't want to post those all over again.

I would skip the winglets on the front.

Those are referred to as Canards, not winglets.

Right on - in for the transformation and pics along the way - sound clip too!

I like the items you chose and they are not over the top - they will compliment you Vette very well - nice choice my man!

Thanks,Matt

What would they do to a street car, besides look funny?

Canards thanks! I like the look of them mixed with the side skirts and lip. Makes the whole thing flow together really well I think. I saw a red one once driving around that had them and it just looked awesome.

I wont lie.. when you said frankenstein I pictured something more like this

How does bolting parts onto a C6 make it a frankenstein? The Canards are super Ricer. Make sure to buy some Type R and NOS stickers too. Your car won't look anything like that Lomas GT2 widebody with those canards, especially if you're base width. but whatever floats your boat! I'm sure Carid will be happy to sell you all that stuff.

lol that is some cool looking body work, but not having my own garage keeps me from doing much. Plus not made of money. Still I like the look I'm going for. Not really trying to look like the Lomas. Don't like that huge fender and never liked hoods like that. This is more of what I'm trying to do. Looks great in my opinion and isn't going to break me.

I'd also like to say that I love import cars as well. I had a Mazda RX 8 and loved it to death. One of the funnest cars I've ever driven. Sure the underglow was a bit much, but still loved how it looked and drove.

I like that pic... I really like that pic...

And for what it's worth I do like the winglets with the front chin splitter, side skirts, and hood. They just go well in my opinion on this car.

Wishing a little I went white instead of yellow now, lol.

EDIT: On second look (looking at the opposite side of what you circled in red), skip the winglets. It looks... off... in shape, size, and tapered finish.

Those specific ones do look a bit bad, but there are better looking ones that aren't near as big. I'll get them and if I don't like them then they won't stay on the car.
