Bringing vent air into interior without A/C
Yes, I have read the manual, but I'm still not sure about this.
What I want is to have my climate control system blow in exterior air, without heating or cooling it. I'm guessing that I should turn on the system (by pressing the driver's ****), then turn off the A/C (by pressing the button marked with a slashed snowflake), and then adjust the fan with the fan speed buttons. Is that right? On my other car, I have to set the temperature to 60 degrees for this option (so that the heater doesn't warm the incoming air). Is that necessary on the Vette?
I sometimes like to have outside air when my windows are closed, but prefer not to use the A/C unless necessary.
It's often nice and cool where I live, even in summer, so a vent is perfect. I sort of miss my old 1970 Dodge Dart, which had a door under the dash that allowed outside air to flow in directly. It really worked well, without causing the noise and air disturbance that opening the windows does.
In case it matters, I have a 2007 base coupe.

You could just hit auto then the snowflake to turn off the ac. Set temp where you like and system will try to maintain that temp even without the ac. If it gets colder than the target temp it will heat the air. As long as temp set is lower than ambient temp it will not heat the air.

I have a convertible, so I rarely run my AC, but if it's raining (Yes, I drive my Corvette in the rain ) I like to run cool fresh air through the vents.

So, it's turn on the system, hit the snowflake button, turn the temperature dial to the lowest setting, and adjust fan speed.
Thanks to all who replied.

It's really simple and works just like other cars, but it seems to me that GM made the controls more complicated than it needs to be.
It seems that they really want you to set it to auto and just adjust the temp ****. Everything else requires you to actually look at what you're doing (while driving).
I'd prefer having the fan control on a **** like the temp control. Those ***** could have doubled as recirc and A/C disable buttons.

It's been awhile but I thought I first turned mine to manual, hit the snowflake button to turn off the air conditioning , then adjusted the fan speed manually.. Also I set where I wanted the air to blow by adjusting the button to either center vents or floor vents, or both....WW

Turn on system the press the "slashed snowflake" to disable the AC. Use the arrows to adjust fan speed.
Turn the temp all the way down to be sure its not heating the air. I do this all the time.
