Default Headlights faded inside of housing

I bought a black 2009 Z06, the car is flawless except the headlights. They had headlight covers on them when I removed them it became obvious they were messed up inside. Can you buy just lenses or do you have to purchase the entire headlight? Just wondering what my options are. Thanks! I have baked headlights and split them before not sure if it would be required but I would rather not do that to these.

We have a vendor here...RLSebring. There is almost nothing he can't fix when it comes to C6 headlights.

Contact him, he can help. And it won't cost an arm and a leg. lol

Except GM is not making the lenses and RL does not have anymore at the moment . He states that he should be able to get some but it will take awhile

Well I tried contacting him and have been looking feverishly trying to figure a solution. I really don't know what to do. I can't justify spending the money for new headlights as they are over 1k a piece

I sent him an email a few weeks back and he stated that he did not have any and was working on getting them but had no idea when

How about some pics? If the lenses are removable they should be able to be polished.

I believe there are some aftermarket ones you can buy, not GM , but if you can't get GMs there is no choice...WW

You have to heat them to remove and it is very hard not to destroy the lenses in the process , most just tape up the car real good , wet sand them and Polish them while they are on the car . , some have then sprayed clear coat

It looks as if it might be on the inside which is my biggest worry.... My last car I split the headlights by baking them in the over at 200 degrees. But it was a absolute nightmare...

And I hate to say it but these are a bear to do also

I am in the same boat as you as my headlights are just starting to show signs of the coating coming off around the top edge .

I am praying that RL gets some new lenses in before mine start to craz and Crack.

Or some put Lamin-X film on them, not a cure but they don't look so bad

Yep Bobby if mine get worse I might have to but so far they have not, car only spents time outside when I drive it to work so that might be why . I have a lead on a pair but I want the guy to tell me what "Like New" is because that is a lot of money to spend on headlights that might not be any better than what I got

Take a look at this, they do some beautiful work Dave
I'd love to have the "hammerhead" but indeed they are pricey. But I believe they do other stuff also, in fact after looking I see he offers a stock redo lense
