Common problem. Mine is like that after the roof was painted.

It looks to me like they didn't align the weather stripping correctly. Is that the factory stripping or was that replaced as well? You could easily (carefully) trim it back yourself. Or, call the company and have them do it, since it should have been done correctly during the install.

Yep , the side molding rubber overlaps the top molding and is not attached to the side molding at the top 1/2 inch

So when new it lays flat but when disturbed it sticks up ...

My own car had this issue also and it still has the original windshield , I just used a heat gun and some glue to lay it back down

Is it your installers fault ..... maybe but it is really a bad design on GM'S PART .........

I'm worried about the seal at the top of the windscreen, there is a gap between the windscreen and the weather striping, isn't the weather stripping supposed to overlay the windsheild?

Need pics!

Ours is like that. To the best of my knowledge it is original. I just try to be careful that I don't snag it while washing the car.

Has absolutely nothing to do with the seal of the windshield and is purely there for decoration, , have them glue it down , or if you really feel that the installer did this , have them replace the side moldings

I just tried mine a bit and glued it down , like I said this is a common issue as you can tell from the responses above

Mine sticks up as well. Kept snagging it when washing the car. I used some black weather stripping adhesive and put a drop under it and taped it down with some blue tape and now it lays flat.

Mine also had the same issue and the windshield is original, as others have said i just trimmed it back and I used JB Weld to glue it back down, put a little 3M Blue painters tape to hold it in place overnight and no problem after that.
