2010 grand sport acting crazy
My wife was driving our 2010 grand sport yesterday . The drivers seat started moving back and forth,up and down all by it self. Scared the crap out of her. The seat moved so close the the steering wheel she could hardly drive the damn thing. I've heard that the battery can cause these cars to do strange things but this borders on being dangerous .

Do you two move the seat fore and aft often? If so, then my first thought would be a short in the wiring harness under the seat...known issue when the seat is moved often.

Did she have maybe her purse or a Wallet tucked between her and the door?

Yes she did have the key fob. We don't move the seats very often we've had them set with the driver selection buttons for both of us and it's always worked ok. Also she had her purse in the drivers seat. I've been noticing some strange things going on with the car for a few weeks. The trunk will just automatically pop open. Sometimes when you get out and close the door the Windows will roll down ,not just an inch but all the way down. I'm gonna put a new battery on it tomorrow and see what happens. The battery that's on the car came with it new. The car has about 50,000 miles on it.

6 plus years is asking a lot out of the battery in these cars, even though it may not cure the problems, it's a very good idea to do it now.
Summer heat will kill them also.
Sometimes just disconnecting the battery will reset things.

Read your Manual
I had a similar thing happen with my 13 GS M6. I might not have this exactly right because it's been a while but: if your car is locked with the parking brake on and you hit the unlock button on the FOB twice it resets the seats to the original factory position. I took my wife to lunch parked on a hill, set the PB and when we came out I unlocked the door with the key fob and the seat started moving. I didn't realize it till I pulled out in traffic and and could not see out of the side mirrors etc. I think the electronics are so complex on these cars they can do things that the engineers don't know about.

Remove, clean and re-seat them. My thinking is that usually when we get these multi-message warnings, the actual problem is not one of the warnings but is some major data loss in the system that just causes it to display multiple messages. Loose spark plug wires have been known to do this, as has a bad connection at those two big blue connectors on the BCM under the passenger carpet. The wrong spark plugs have also caused things like this because of high voltage inducing current into low voltage data lines going into the PCM.
