Default 4 post lift + extra Ramps - but which ones work well

This may have been covered but I couldn't find it quickly. I'm in the planning process on ordering a BendPak HD-9XW and I want to hear from some owners of lifts as to what size ramps you use for your Vette.

I've got a ZR1 front splitter and side skirts so I have to go around dead squirrels on the road ...

I've also had a few challenges using lifts where I've had to use plywood (in some cases multiple layers) to get on and off the ramp without dragging.

So I was looking at Race Ramps but there are 3-4 options that might work, but I am looking for recommendations on ramps to use with this lift.

Anyone have any negative feedback on using any of these ramps in combination with a lift?

- Race Ramp w/ Hooked Nose (designed for lifts) but has a 7 degree rise

- Race Ramp Shop Ramps - Looks like the lift just lays on it

- Race Ramp Trailer Ramps - (46" or 67" versions) The 67" looks great but not sure if it would slip out from under lift ramp.

Anyone using any of these configurations?

I just purchased the Bendpak lift HD 9XW(in black). I upgraded the ramps to the 48 inch aluminum(so much lighter than the 36 inch steel ramps)..had no problem with clearance with my 2011 GS or my Buick GN(1.5 inch lowered)....( get the 4500lb rolling jack with the purchase if you can)..pm me with any other Bendpak questions

I looked at those 48" ramps but they want like $470 for them and you are stuck with the 36" steel ones anyway. You can't just swap them as an upgrade.

So I thought these ramps combined with the 36" steel ones would be a compromise to save a couple hundred bucks.....so that I could get an RJ-45 lift (or 2).

I have Direct lift. I've gone cheap and used foam pads to "ramp up" onto my steel ramps. Works, but I wouldn't mind some extended aluminum 48" ramps. Got a link? If they are Bendpak I'm sure they would work with Direct Lift.

The upgraded 48 inch is on their website.. And I paid around $300 for the ramps..I use the steel ones for my sons 1 ton 4x4(even though the aluminum would hold the extra gvw). I saved $975 by making my own center section plates out of 3/4 finished plywood(and poly urethane) vs purchasing Bend Pack's aluminum center plates(between the runways). Also if you purchase the rolling jacks you'll be required to cut the aluminum sectional to accommodate the footprint of the rolling jack( which weighs about $350 lbs) if one plans to remove it from the lift.

http://www.bendpak.com/car-lifts/acc...-ramp-kit.aspx

The website states it's a 36 inch but they offered a 48 inch which is what I have

I don't have a Bendpak or a ZR1 (damn!), but I have no problems getting my 09 base on my lift, or any car I've tried. My ramps only need to lift 4" like your pic inset, mine are a little longer at 37". If my trigonometric calculation is correct, that would put my ramp at 6.17 deg.

I have those Race Ramps pictured at the top. (Hooked nose?) and my ZR1 goes on no problem. They are lighter than a peanut Butter sandwich, I kid you not.

I have a HD-9STX and I use the Race Ramp 48" with no issues...a lot of money for what they are but that's the "tax".

Do you use them in combination with the steel ramps or as replacements (Hook Nose)?

No. I do have some 2" x 12"'s that I put in front of the RR at the garage door key way.

I have a Direct-Lift with 36" ramps - my 2010 GS has the ZR1 splitter and side skirts - I always back on.

Wow - I would think you still scrap the front when loading/unloading.

I have a Triton 8000, ramps that came with it, no issues backing up onto the ramp with my C4, C5 or C6.
