Vitesse throttle controller installed... yessssss!
Installed the Vitesse throttle control controller on a 2008 LS3 A6 drop top.
only had about 15 minutes to drive around with it but my complaints of a vague throttle control are now gone.
car is definitely quicker (by the seat of the pants & speedo)
I highly recommend the mod.
I also highly recommend having somebody a little smaller than 6' 1" & 220 to try and fit in the footwell for the install...
Also, don't sit on ur glasses mid-install... sigh...

The cost is about 180.00 and takes about 30 minutes to install. It plugs into the gas pedal wiring.. For example, if you quickly press the pedal down 50%, the valve that lets air into the engine does not suddenly open 50% - there is a delay that Chevy designed into the system to make the opening gradual. This is done for fuel economy and smoother operation. The Vitesse takes that delay away and makes the engine respond instantly to your movement of the gas pedal. In the sport mode, it makes a night and day difference in the way the car responds to your input. It doesn't give the car more horsepower, but the power you have comes on like a tornado. There are about 15 different settings - including regular factory mode. Highest setting is scary fast! After driving in number 7 or 8 in sport mode, go back to the factory setting and it feels like you are pulling a trailer. In economy mode, the highest setting feels like you are driving an old milk truck, but it will help save gas. A great addition for the money.

SP6 is my setting. One thinks at first they want accessibility to the control box to change the settings on the fly. However, after a few months of use, most pick a setting and leave it. Therefore I think either the console or glovebox is the best location for it. My favorite is SP6 and that's where it stays.

You saw the photos of a mock up for ashtray mount/panel
I have to agree ... I'll put it in the glove box and leave it alone on SP 6 or 7.
Regarding WOT, the controller, I've been told, will have no effect once the throttle plate is open completely but I find it extremely helpful when rolling into acceleration on first gear.
Before the Vitesse, it also felt that I'm not getting WOT through the RPM despite flooring it.
there's greater control and better feel... I'm trapped at the end of a block (near my house) 5 - 7 miles an hour faster, as I am able to put power down predictably but aggressively as opposed to the b******* delay in what is stock setting (sp0)
