Vette's and Jets on the Lex Pictures..
First off my Hat's off to Maverick and his group for putting on the best Event on the Lex that I've attended. I've been to all of them and by far this one was at the top. Also want to thank some of the members of the Tulsa Corvette Club who kept me laughing for 2 days under the F-14 Tomcat you guys Rock!! Met some great folks from all over the country but just hate that this was the last event of this kind to be held on the Lady Lex..
Here is a link to the rest of what I took..Enjoy..

We enjoyed that event about better that any of the 100's of Corvette events that we've gone to. My car is the white one right behind the SSR in one of you pictures!

Thanks..
This event was so unique and different that I'm already bummed there will never be another one. I talked to a welder who works full time on the ship and its not the age of the elevator that's the problem it's the parts for it. They don't make them anymore and if something breaks are wears out it has to be custom made.
The Tomcat was my shade tree for 2 days!!
Thanks!
Reason why I took a picture with your car in it!!
Yes they are but you took yours when it was HOT! I started to walk towards the SSR but the mosquitoes were eating me alive at 7am!
Thanks!

Excellent pictures Tim! Someone up in C7 forum said 416 Vettes were in attendance. Incredible!

The Carriers sure are some serious real estate! Top Gun didn't do them justice.
My buddy, retired Navy, told me watching the amount of drop of the fighters at take-off just as they left the ship was crazy. That is, it seemed the design was just at the fringe of the physics barrier.
Way cool - God Bless America !

You might have missed your chance with this event. We were told this was the very last event on this ship.
Should be a link on the Vette's and Jets website soon.
That's correct Mike but not everyone loaded. I heard 404 loaded. And thanks looking forward to seeing you next May!
Thanks!

Great event overall.
The comedian, Steve Trevino, put on a great show and had us laughing pretty much the entire time. We were in the bar Sunday watching the Texans play and were chatting with another couple that said they heard several older guests at the comedy show whining about the F-Bombs he dropped. Maverick did a great job advertising the comedy show as being for adults in advance and even reiterated it before the show started but I guess those folks were in the bathroom at the time.
Maverick ran a great event overall, and getting the cars on and off the carrier was quickly executed, so well in fact I can't help but question why the schedule the load for 5am Saturday when it was completed in 1.5 hours.
Curious to see what he plans for future events now that the Lexington is no longer an option. Maybe do something in conjunction with the Wings Over Houston Air Show scheduled in the fall or a dedicated event with the folks who run the Texas Flying Legends Museum based at Ellington Field?
