I agree!! it is a 2007 Corvette Convertible 70,000 miles bought it in May. I am in the DC Area know anyone?

I was thinking about this one http://www.corvetteclubofamerica.org/ but there is a $80 sign up fee I havent heard of car clubs requiring such a high signup fee

the biggest thing I did to it was get a new radio and put in a USB charger that turns on when the car comes on. maybe that is the issue? I also replace the BCM, ECM and a few other things because I had a leak that got in the passenger foot well 2 months after ownership! so it has had a lot of work done.

Ah, man...that pretty much says it all. You need a good electrical person to work out the gremlins.

Yeah I guess I will tell the Dealership to remove it I am kind of worried about going back to the shop I had it put in at because they dropped a sub woofer enclosure on my bumper and headlight. Insurance company still wont pay for the headlight..

ha ha yeah.... it sucks but a week ago after I got back from vacay my brother and I was talking outside having a beer. And while he was talking dusk turned to night and our yard lights came on. And when the light hit the corvette from whatever angle I was sitting at, it all became worth it because this corvette is beautiful. 5 yrs ago I never would have thought I would ever own this car I have only seen it Need for speed games or on a few magazines and it is in the driveway now...

thanks for the help guys!

I'm sure there is a club in the DC area, I would first try the Regional Section on this forum and in the section for the DC area, ask questions about the local clubs.

A lot of people don't care to join clubs but may still be interested to help you out so posing questions regarding your problems with the car may help too.

Criswell chevrolet in Gaithersburg MD is a straight shooter dealer. Let them take a look at it.

Yeah, when I was typing it I realized that only a select group of old buzzards would get it, but I loved that song for some stupid reason. "Coming from the Aragon Ballroom". What was that? In 1961 or 1962?

My other solution would be "blow it in place", which was the answer I was taught by the Army to deal with all things inexplicable. A little C4 and the problem was gone.

Having a car like ours should be fun. You are having far more grief than fun. Take it to a good dealer and let them sort out the problem. It will be a pain in the wallet, but then you can get back to the fun part.

1957 according to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stan_Freberg

Stan was the precursor to Weird Al Yankovic, who would re-title this thread my engine won't shut off to the tune of My Boomerang won't come back"

Quick Reply: Engine won't turn off!
