QUESTION: Adding NPP

QUESTION: Adding NPP
I have the NPP exhaust and am ready to add it to my 12" GS Centennial Edition. I can't believe this car had everything but NPP.
Regardless, my question is...do I need to tune the car after adding the NPP?

Thanks! I can't wait to get them on...this car sounds like a hybrid right now. Why in da hell did they even offer these silencers for such a nice car. It's just wrong! LOL

You do know it will not function like factory if it was not on the car to start with. If you want it to function and the car did not come with it you will need the NPP in a box kit.

Yes, but thank you for helping. I plan to just install it and see if I need NPP in a box or if I am happy with always ON. I have a REAL hard time paying $200 for NPP in a box. It looks like about $15 worth of Chinese parts to me. No disrespect to the maker in any way.

I put in my npp in a non npp car. I switch mine via a rocker mounted in knee bolster, looks factory.
I don't recall npp in a box having everything you'll need. As in, the vacuum solenoid and vacuum fittings to engine and tubing.

it would be great to hear more about how you hooked yours up. I'm under the impression that the NPP in a box is pretty much my only option because my car never had NPP. Looks like some tubing, remote fobs, fuse splitter and a box that controls the actuators. I realize I'm being very judgmental of a system I personally can't create but $200 is ridiculous. If anyone has a more cost effective solution that they used, please share it. Thanks in advance.

NPP in a box has everything you need, vacuum switch , hose , tees, remotes . You could put this all together yourself but ......

So let me get this straight. If I find a NPP I then have to buy NPP in a box thing? I too want more sound than my daughters Camry hybrid. Trying to do it for a reasonable price. But $600 for NPP and $200 for the box and then $100 for mild to wild. Wife won't go for expensive upgrade.

You can get NPP for less than $600. I found a set with pipes and everything off a 2013 Grand Sport that were taken off at 100 miles. They're basically new and I paid $400.
Also, the NPP in a box has everything, so the M2W switch isn't needed, but I still think $200 is too much for it. Maybe I'm just cheap? I can afford to own my Grand Sport Centennial and am in good shape financially because I don't just throw $$$ at my problems.
I'll be riding "FAST N' LOUD" unless I can't take the drone and then I guess I will "throw some $$$ at my problem" LOL

I installed a set of NPP on my 'vert, and I was happy with the open sound and never hooked up a vacuum. I will be hunting another set for my GS...

I added NPP mufflers and NPP in a box to my 2012, and worked great for a few months now for some reason it sounds like it struggles to stay closed at speeds 40-50 mph

Search 12v vacuum switch. They are pretty inexpensive. You will also need a switch, fuse tap and holder, wiring, hose and a vacuum reserve canister. I'm sure you can put all that together for less than $50.
Of course this method will be manually controlled.
