C6 Z06 front license plate.....PATHETIC!
Well.....Montana law dictates that I'm SUPPOSED to have a front license plate on my C6 (07) Z06. Any suggestions? The thought repulses me....maybe just pay a couple tickets and see how often "the man" sees me!

There are hidaway front plates available (show n go).....that would only be seen while driving....meaning you wouldn't have to see how bad it makes your car look to have a silly law like that....because you would be driving....or.....move to a state that doesn't have that law,...

Burning Brakes
Peoples Republik of Kalifornia requires front plates on cars(motorcycles are exempt and their plates are 1/4 the size of automobiles)...I have yet to be told that in person. So far they haven't found it necessary to stop me yet. I think I am one of those old white guys in a Vette...

This is the one I bought. It is the Double AA plate holder. It sandwiches between the stock Z06 spilter and the front bumper. Unscrew the 3 center screws , slip in place, screw them back in. Removable in less then a minute, no 3m tape.
You do have to bend the plate slightly.

I'm glad FL doesn't require it but if I lived in a state did that cop could write me tickets till he ran out of paper. I would never put that nasty looking front plate on my beautiful Z!

This is the Top Flight plate holder. It can be removed or replaced in less than 30 seconds.

WI's like MT, front plate's required. But after many years w/o (on both vehicles) I've yet to be stopped because I didn't have one, including just last week.
Stopped by WI State Patrol. WSP's some real sticklers if ever there were, quite possibly strictest of all state LEOs. Nothing.
Might consider trying to run w/o one, see what happens. In some states a fine for no display's pricey, but usually not. In fact IIRC in WI it'd be a 'fix it' ticket, so mount plate & have any LEO sign it's there.
YMMV so time to familiarize yourself w/ MT law, decide what to do from there.

Front plates on C-6 and C-7 corvettes are just out of place. I agree with others that the Topflight is a good alternative to a mandatory front plate. Many of my Texas friends just don't run them, just take the chance of getting stopped. We are very fortunate in Oklahoma where the front plate is not required.

I got mine from the Double AA . com Easy to put on if you have the car up on a lift or have the front end up off the ground a little like on ramps. Ive had mine on since February and like it.
Go to thedoubleaa.com website and take a look. Fast service.

Texas has the same law. Up until a couple of years ago, it had no teeth, meaning no fine amount, really not enforceable. The last legislature fixed that and put a dollar amount on it...$200. Most LEO don't realize it or care, unless you are doing something else, then its a way to have probably cause to stop and chat with you.

I've had both the Top Flight and the AA and liked them both. I had to secure the Top Flight bracket with screws because the 3M tape didn't hold. I like the AA bracket a little better.
