Butch - I am intrigued.
Love searching for past ownership history espically given the potential track history on this car.
Any chance you can send me the complete vin? The one listed is a partial
You indicate that the words Chatter
...
Are shown on the front fender. Is the above correct?
I found a Texas vette club that uses the nomenclature chatter for their club news letter

Sounds like you bought a car that was used as a High Speed Driving School Vehicle. Check with a local Chevy Dealer and see what the warranty record shows for repairs or if void due to used as race vehicle.

For better or worse, he's probably long out of warranty now regardless of history.

If he's lucky, the car was beat on at a school, the engine was replaced and the car sold off after that and is now enjoying its retirement as a daily driver.

I knew it would be out of warranty, but their records would show if it had been in commercial service as a High Speed Driving School Unit and would show void warranty from what I have always read and been told. that would give him a clue to check the driving schools in California to see which one it may have been used at.

Not a Daily by any stretch.....

It's on my hoist right now, waiting for the heads to get back from WCCH tomorrow. went with a BTR stage 3 cam, and will be recieving an E85 conversion on top if it.

After it's tuning session on the 4th of this coming month, it gets loaded on the trailer for a 1/2 mile drag racing event in Sulfur Springs Texas on the 12th.

It was bought to enjoy it, (drive it), and we are.
