Default Runnin' The Dragon, Oct 2016

Just downloaded pics from this past October's "Corvettes Run the Dragon Cruise." The Corvette Expo had a big turnout this year, but the Dragon run did not break the record this year. It was fun however; maybe next year. My bride and I just enjoying the day/ride in our 427 vert!!!

Nice photos, beautiful car! I would love to run the "dragon" some day. Too bad it's so far away from me.

That's cool! I think the ride to the dragon was a bit on the "hairy" side for me; I was going 95 to make sure not to leave a gap in the train of cars!! I don't know how some of the older C2s and C3s kept up with that pace.

There's a closer one that I call the west coast Dragon, north of Fort Bragg on hiway 1 to Leggett at hiway 101. Plus, you get to drive the coast hiway from anywhere north of Stinson Beach, your choice. I managed several corners in the .80s and .90s and even got a 1.0 on an uphill right hander. Great road!

I'll have to use it for a new desktop background.

Yes it was a fast pace,And not knowing what was an acceptable speed I just hit the gas and went with.
