C6 vs C7

The C7 just doesn't appeal to me, I like the looks of the C6 better. Now if someone gave me the fob to a new C7 I sure would take it.

Unless your talking Z06 the horsepower thing is nothing big, 436 vs 460. 24 horsepower does not make me want a newer model. I personally don't like cylinder deactivation and the jury is out on direct injection & how well it'll last for 2 to 300k miles. Having sat in many over the years at Carlisle the cockpit is cramped, especially the passenger side. There's too many creases and sharp edges to compliment that hideous rear end. The Z06 is overheating, there's still problems with the 8spd auto in the 17 model. I'll keep my gorgeous trouble free GS with the bulletproof LS3..

Looks are always subjective but the A8 is stronger and a better trans than the A6 in the auto C6 cars. The troubles are also well blown out of proportion. Mine is a 15 A8 and has 620rwhp and not a hiccup. Both the C6 and the C7 are great cars and everyone should obviously love the one that is in their garage

2021 C6 of the Year Finalist - Modified
I was really thinking about buying a 2017 Grand Sport, do to the price, but I might just keep my C6.
$57,023 out the door price for a GS with a $73,620 sticker price is really a good deal ....

Well the C7s have been out since 2014. They look pretty good and have more horse power and that's good. Like all models there have been improvements. And normally the new model looks better right away or they grow on you. I like the C7s but I still like the looks of the C6 better. What do you think?
to me it looks more like a Hot Wheels toy than a real auto.

I'd agree the price is right unless you ask why the price is down from $73k to $57k. That's not just a huge discount, that's a worrisome one.

I'm not a big fan of the C7 nor am I a big fan of widebody. But put those two together and man do you have one mean and ferocious sexy car. Other than that, it's C6 for me.

MacMulkin should be able to get you a 13% discount off the MSRP (window sticker price) on the car too ... Completely separate
And if you still own a Vette, get the $2,000 Loyalty rebate from GM too.
Look again at the photo of the deal I posted above.

Yes, been discussed to death. But I love the looks of the C6 widebody the best. If i could get the C7 interior in a C6... Perfect

I wonder how many of the people who like the C7's better have actually sat in one? I'm 5'9" 190 and just fit. It's cramped and the center console comes up so high its claustrophobic. My buddy who's 6'3" 300lbs well...I took pictures of him in it. Deal breaker.
I bought a VY '09 Z06 with 5k miles on it instead for $20k less. I'm putting in a '13 steering wheel, MGW shifter and looking for better seats. The seats are very comfortable but don't have enough side bolster.

The Military Discount price has nothing to do with MacMulkin Chev. That discount is out of GM's pocket, not the dealership.

All Corvette dealers would be advertising the military discount if they could offer it on in stock inventory. I admit, the entire thing is confusing so am guessing dealers have to agree to participate. The following was taken from GM's web site:
AT THE DEALERSHIP
CAN I RECEIVE THIS DISCOUNT FROM ANY GM DEALER?
This program is available through all participating U.S. GM Dealers and is voluntary on the part of the dealers. Dealer participation is on a vehicle-by-vehicle basis. Please inform your dealer of your intention to use the GM Military Discount during your first contact with your dealer. If your dealer elects not to participate, you may visit another dealer.

I keep reading that and don't understand why people keep saying that. I am 6"1 and 225lbs and I have plenty of room. I admit the interior does feel more like a cockpit, almost like the C4 vette or to be honest the Audi R8 I recently drove but I had plenty of room. The C6 interior looks like a big chevy Cavalier, old and dated to the extreme.
My 6 3" 300lb buddy is the perfect measure. In the C7 he has to sit in a fetal position with his knees up and his head bent down. We were lucky to get the door closed. It so ridiculous I took a cell phone picture.
In my C6 he's so comfortable he fell asleep on the driving trip picking it up.
What else can I say?
