Default Fast blinker with switch backs

Hey All I got a 2012 GS when I bought it the previous owner had installed switch backs. Yesterday the left turn signal started blinking fast like a typical bad bulb. I've checked and double checked to make sure and I do not have a bulb out so I'm thinking it's something with the switch back????!

I've never installed one so I'm not real familiar with it. My blinkers work they just blink faster on the left than the right.

Any ideas???

You need resistors if you have LED bulbs.

Here is a popular set that will allow the switchbacks to remain white when the DRLs are on:

The hyper-flashing did seem really fast when I first got my switchbacks, but now they seem totally normal. Doesn't bother me at all anymore.

It hasn't done it since I bought the car last May, it just started yesterday and is only the left turn signal. Just seems odd it started out if no where, but like I said everything is working fine it's just fast. I'll check out the resistor. Thanks

So how do I get led drl's that are white then turn yellow for turn signals. Where do I get these leds? Will that harness do the conversion to white drls?

Sorry. Totally missed that you said it only started happening. There are resistors for each side so I would check there first.

RadioFlyer Innovations offers two different plug and play resistor harnesses: one harness is resistors only ($75) and the other harness is resistors and inline IC that provides the white DRL functionality (the IC is build into the harness and the harness costs $110).

It is more than likely your resisters, I bought a set of 4 off ebay to fix my hyper flash and they were less than 5 bucks. So if you can wire them yourself you could save big.

Thanks for the info! I just placed an order for the white drl harness!

OP, If you need a couple resistors I should have a spare pair in a week or 2.
