Default C6 Front Spoiler(Air Dam) Replacement

The passenger side of the 3 piece unit was missing on my newly acquired C6 so I ordered a new 3 piece unit from West Coast Corvette. Parts arrived and I started to install. Removed the two end pieces which came off easy enough. Just 3 self tapping screws. The center section looks to be a bit more involved. Is there more to it than just the screws holding it in from the front. I put the new end pieces on but left the old center section which didn't line up exactly with the passenger side end piece. All this to ask this simple question.
How involved is replacing the center section?

Yea, there's a lot more to the center one. I think the specific methods of attachment, screws vs push pins, changed at some point, maybe '08, not sure, but the placement of the attaching points are the same.

Here are several prior discussions, read them all and I think you can get it. No pictures that I've ever seen.

Thanks Rick. I read each post and I think I might let the dealer deal with this one. If I had access to a lift I might venture to try it myself but I'm not all that good working on my back with the car just inches above my face. Makes it a bit difficult trying to see everything through bifocals. LOL
thanks again.

The center piece is a bitch to remove! I removed my in 2009 on my 08 and never put new ones back on.."Not Needed", unless you like to hear them scrape

You have to remove a few of the pins/screws that hold the bumper cover on to get the center piece out. It's a bit of work, but it does come out once those screws are removed.

I agree, having replaced the center section (and the two outer ones) this very day.
