Really? That's the dumbest crap dude. Like I wanna be online here wasting my time while I have a corvette to go have fun with and other life things. It isn't a manual it does the noise a little leaving first then driving is fine. But in neutral it does it bad like shakes the car making a weird noise I wouldent say grinding like clunking then when the car gets shut off it does it bad then the noise and shaking dies with the car. And when I say idling I mean stationary also.

Well now that we have a better clarification as to what kind of transmission you have I would say that it is time to look at the exhaust where it may be rubbing. Automatics usually don't make a grinding noise in neutral and torque converters don't either. There have been trolls on here before so without a proper information it's harder to help out. Sorry if I offended you.

Ok got that cleared up. Next time your stopped and hear the noise put it in neutral and engage the clutch. If noise stops your throwout bearing is going bad.

No it doesn't, so maybe it's the exhaust my friends z06 did the Same thing he said. He was a BMW mechanic he said there no way this noise can happen from a drivetrain since the clutch is up front and when we engage it does change and when it stationary none of the drivetrain moves and when we get going the noise goes away so most likely it's the exhaust it is put up against other metals.

I can't it's 350 miles away I have work and school I'm gonna just have to live with it. I used my fiends expensive code reader. Read nothing bad clean no permanent codes. He says it's running fine. I think I'm just paronoid. ^^ read what I posted up there and let me know what you think? I think it has to be the exhaust.

Is this the car you just bought, from a trusted seller, or an auction car? Either way, I hope it's nothing major. Does it drive without any vibrations, does it shift smoothly? Are you sure it is fully in neutral. Ask the seller about the noise first.

The balancer wasn't just an LS2 issue.
The cage is a little concerning given its mods. I'm wondering if it was a blower or nitrous car that was returned to minor bolt ons before the sale.

I didn't see anyone else mention it, but you have to take advice from german car mechanics with a grain of salt. All C5 and newer Corvettes have the clutch in the rear of the car. In the photo you can see the bulge where the unpainted aluminum torque tube coming from the front of the car meets with the black painted transmission- that's where the clutch is located.
You need to get the car off the ground (preferably a 4 post lift) while it is making the sound. Then have someone try to find where the sound is coming from. Start where you believe it's coming from but look everywhere until you've found it. As others have said, these noises can seem to travel from where they are actually being made.
