Plenum cover install
I've done a search with no luck. Does anyone happen to have a link to a video or walkthrough on how to install a two piece intake plenum cover? TIA

I think most use velcro. If you have headers the Velcro will melt. Ask me how I know.
Can't use my etched black chrome plenum cover that used velcro.

I have the two piece plenum cover though. It slips under the fuel line to hide the seam, but it's the fuel line part that I'm needing the help with.

Is it this one? If it is mine came with a few strips go 2 sided tape. Wasn't enough. I put 2 side tape on every rail. Then put pretty heavy weight on it for a day or so. Has held up fine.

That's the one I have. How did you get it under the fuel rail?

I can't remember an issue, sorry. My wiper cowl might of been off. But I don.t think that would matter.

For the rear section go further back then slide it back towards the front. Also make sure you are putting the correct sections in the front and the back, they are usually marked underneath. I haven't had mine on in years but had no issues installing when I did have it on! Good luck!

You have to unbolt the fuel rails and lift them up. They pull out from each injector and there is an o ring on each connector. Don't loose them. I think there are only 4 bolts holding the fuel rails down. Oh and you want to disconnect the fuel line first too. Put some rags under the connector when you separate as there will be some residual pressure and some gas is going to drain out. That is how you get the plenum cover under the crossover connector. No other way. I had this question last year and someone posted up a link. I started to do it but needed some special style sockets I did not have. My stepson used to be a Chevy tech and has all the tools so I conned him into doing it. If you have the right tools it is not difficult.

That definitely does not apply to mine as there is no way it's fitting without removing or loosening something along the way. I don't know what year your car is, but the LS2 covers are different from the ones for the LS3.

I think on the LS3 they added the thick rubber insulation pad on the underside of the cover. Not sure if that is for sound or temp. I may be wrong but I think I remember an old post about this and the cover was not even on the LS2. Did you get it done Ed?

Mine doesn't have any rubber insulation on the underside, though. It's just raw fiberglass underneath. Didn't even get any double-sided tape to install it with so had to buy my own, which I wasn't very pleased with.
